Saperavi Natural dry red wine. The wine is deep purple when young and has the ability to age slowly maintaining the purple hues into 4th and 5th years while developing a soft burgundy tone. The nose exhibits rich fruit characters reminiscent of blackberry and blackcurrant but also has touches of subtle oak. Maturation to balance the richness of fruit. Thru overriding factor on nose is the intensity and richness that becomes the consumer to enjoy the palate. The palette is rich with ripe berry flavors. The tannins are soft and evening balance with their acid. The blackberry and blueberry flavors slide easily over the pallet giving impression of sweetness that is not there. The finish is soft but full and the end is still bursting with rich ripe fruit and gentle oak characters to soften the richness of the palate.
Kindzmarauli The wine grapes are harvested only when enough sugar has been formed in the berries to permit a natural retention of sugar at an appropriate alcoholic content. The grapes must be harvested from within the Quareli region and be of saperavi variety. The wine is purple and shows obvious rich sweetness when swirled around the glass. The nose exhibits soft ripe berry fruit with touches of blackberry and blackcurrant, the palate is rich and soft showing good fruit presence and fullness. The tannins although present are more then compensated by rich sweetness of fruit and sugar. The finish is sweet and lingers in the mouth with balanced acidity and fruit.
